It's been a while, and so several things have happened since then. I think the biggest I should start with is a decision my husband and I have made. He decided to go on a 30 day vegan diet, starting after the new year. I have agreed to join him on this experiment. I think it is high time that we changed our eating habits. I want to be more healthy, and I think this is a good start to that.
I have also decided to attend NaNoWriMo this year. It was kind of a whim thing. I had a story idea, and about the same time saw someone mention NaNoWriMo, and pounced on the idea. I'll try to post some of my stuff on here while I do it. :)
I guess the only other things going on are school and more school. You know how engineering majors are. Anyway, until next time. :)

Oops...
Well...I screwed you.
Sorry it's been almost a month since I last wrote. I really haven't been in a writing mood lately, so it's been hard to even look at my blog. But I'm back now, and I do apologize for my absence. Honestly, nothing much has happened in the past month. I still have no job. Husband is finishing his summer class this upcoming week, and the fall quarter starts up in September.
Today I decided to clean. Husband is out of town, helping his mom cater a wedding, so I'm here alone. I do miss him so, but I'm keeping myself busy. I've clean both our bedroom and the bathroom from top to bottom, and am about halfway through the living room and the kitchen. It's funny and also a little sad how that's been the highlight of the recent past.
I still haven't gotten through all the Harry Potter books. I've just been in a slump lately, but I'm hoping to kick myself out of it here soon. My mom threw me a wedding shower last week, and Husband and I got some pretty nice stuff (mostly dishes and other kitchen items). My best friends ever were there. I haven't seen them in quite some time, and it was fun to catch up with them again. Hopefully here soon I'll actually do my writing exercise I've been meaning to do. Maybe even some drawing. So, until next time!

Unproductive
Oh my goodness, two posts in a row! This is cool. Otherwise, today had been totally unproductive. Husband and I have been sitting here all day watching Weeds. I like the break. We also slept in until noon. So I think I'm going to start doing a writing prompt every day, for at least a week, starting tomorrow. I'll be pulling my prompts from a book called The Pocket Muse. It's a really good book for writers. It has a lot of advice and good little creative writing prompts. There's also a second book, although I can't quite grasp the title at the moment.
Weeds is a really good show. In case you don't know what it is, it's about a California suburb housewife who sells marijuana. It's actually quite funny. I am also highly anticipating the final Harry Potter movie. We got midnight showing tickets. I can't wait!
This is a short blog today, so until next time!

Blah.
I apologize for not posting for some time. to be honest, I think I forgot about it for a while. I've had slightly more important things to think about. Like money. I'm trying to find a job. The problem is that no one wants to hire me. Summer is most definitely a slow season in a college town. One of the downsides of living in one.
Husband is making enchiladas as I type right now. It smells very delicious. Some of the ingredients came from the farmer's market we visited this morning. It was a small one (considering it's a small city) but it was very interesting still. I'm hungry. I also feel like I'm just rambling random thoughts. Which is okay, I suppose. I think this is the point of this blog. Especially now, with it just getting on it's feet.
I got a new phone the other day. A Motorola Atrix. Husband is jealous. ^.^ It is actually a very nice phone. SO much better than my old piece of crap Wal-Mart phone. I like having access to the world wherever I go; I guess that's what living with a geek does to you. Hehe. I've decided to use my phone partially to keep everything organized. But if you knew me, you would have already known that. It just makes it easier to have something portable in case you feel like you forgot something or need to write something down.
Hopefully soon I'll be able to start writing down some fiction. I think next week I'll start by doing a writing prompt every day. I'll see how everything goes. Can't wait!

Writer's Block (And Also, Corgis)
I started this blog mostly to help with the continuous writer's block I've experienced for about two years now. I know it takes time for things like this to happen, but I'm impatient. I love to write, and I've been wanting to write something, ANYTHING, for a long time now. My problem is that I just can't quite put my thoughts into words. It comes out all jumbled and weak and lacking a lot of detail. Very frustrating, if I do say so myself. Hopefully, however, as I write more and more, it will lubricate my thoughts. I'll be able to write better and more easily. For now, though, please bear with me.
And on a completely unrelated note: CORGIS!!
So adorable!! I recently became somewhat obsessed with these short little creatures. Mostly the Pembroke variety (pictured above.) The most interesting thing I've found out about them is that they were bred to be cattle herding dogs. Short so they don't get kicked by the cows and a docked tail so it won't get stepped on. I've been wanting one for a while, but husband and I need to get our finances in order before we can take one in. It hasn't kept me from looking for them. Hopefully I can get a job soon so I can take home a corgi of my own. Love them!!
Until next time!

I Love Games
Computer games, to be exact. Not that console games aren't fun. I love watching them! But with computers, I don't have to teach my hands a whole new set of buttons and moves, and they don't get all sweaty and cramped from gripping the control for long stretches of time. All I need is a mouse and a keyboard, both of which I am already accustomed to using.
The vast majority of games I like to play tend to be RPG's, both single player and MMO's. I like the freedom that come with them, so I can run off some random place or do whatever quest they want me to do.(Also, pretending to be someone else is fun!) I do enjoy first person shooters and strategy games from time to time. And when I get especially bored, flash games!
Some of the games I am currently playing: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Half Life, Perfect World (MMO), and Age of Empires 3. I am eagerly awaiting the new Elder Scrolls (eeeeee!) I know it sounds like a lot at one time, but it keeps me not bored from doing the same thing over and over. Aaaaaand that's really all I can think about writing at the moment. Next time!

The First Post
This was my husband's idea.
No, I'm not saying that in a bad way. Actually, I had been thinking about starting one of these for a while. I love writing. I started back in middle school, but quit for a while later on in high school. Recently, I've been wanting to start up again, but I wasn't sure how. He was the one to give me the little nudge I needed to really do something. By the way, I know you're reading this, and I love you.
Now, what should I write about? Oh! I finally started reading the Harry Potter series. I can remember when they first started coming out. Mostly the giant banner in my elementary school hall advertising them at the book fair. And my mother banning me from reading them. Haha--lot of good that did! I just finished reading the first one, and it was awesome. I've already seen all the movies (husband tried to get me to watch them all in one sitting. O.O ), and I'm eagerly awaiting for Deathly Hallows Part II.
I'm not sure what else to tell you about now. I'm sure I'll talk about a variety of things; maybe I'll even start up writing some fiction for you. Until next time!
