Healthy Stuff

This school year is nearly over. We have one more week, and then freedom! In other news, I recently had a job interview with a local bank. It looks like that I have a good chance to get the position as well. And our first anniversary is on Monday! Things just keep looking up!

Now, once school is out, and hopefully I'm settled into a job, Husband and I plan on revamping our eating habits. My plan is to try out the Paleo diet. The basic premise behind it is that we should eat more like our caveman ancestors, eating more meat, vegetables, and fruit. We should avoid grains and most dairy (though I've read that full-fat and fermented dairy such as cheese is ok), legumes, sugar, and processed food. It makes reasonable sense to me, so I think I'm going to attempt it for about a month, and see how I feel. I may add some dairy back in (I really do like cheese and milk, and alot of people say it's cut out because alot of people have dairy allergies), and after the month is over, I'll add the grains and legumes back in and see how I feel. I'm actually looking forward to it. I enjoy fresh foods, we just haven't had the time or money to enjoy them lately. I believe Husband will be attempting a pesco-vegetarian diet. I will try to keep you updated on how this goes.

Last thing: I'm fairly certain my long creative dry spell is finally over. Makes me so happy. ^.^ I've been planning my novel for this year's NaNoWriMo, and even attempting drawing again. So, until next time!

Changes

Urgent Mission

Hello everyone. It's been a long time, and some things have changed. I thought I would just bring you up to speed. Probably the most important is that both Husband and I have changed our majors. I have switched from Electrical Engineering to Electrical Engineering Technology. It's not a huge switch, but I am already enjoying it much more. An ELET degree focuses more on the application where as the EE degree is more theory based. Husband decided he was too bored with Nutrition, and he is now a General Studies major, so he can take (almost) whatever fancies him.

We have also started an exercise routine. We have been getting up three mornings a week and running at the gym. I am planning to add strength exercises for the other days. We will also be cooking more and eating out less, or at least trying too. The university here is opening a new indoor/outdoor pool, and I will be eager to add that to my regimen. It really does feel good to work out.

The only other thing that's really happening is my creativity. I've started drawing and writing again. It's going very slowly, but it's going. I'm planning on attempting NaNoWriMo again this year. I even have a journal for writing down story ideas. I'm also using the internet to improve my drawing. I've started by finding tutorials to  learn to correctly draw anatomy. It's always been a downfall of mine. I'm hoping to improve enough to be able to draw out my characters for my story out by hand.

And that's my update!

Until next time.
